How to Play Shople

The basics
Type a brand name into the search box and pick it from the dropdown. Free-text guesses don’t count, only brands on the list. Every guess flips 8 tiles showing how close you are.

Gray means no match. Founded, Revenue, and Employees also show an arrow: up means the real answer is higher than your guess, down means lower.
Bands, explained
We show bands instead of exact figures on the guess grid because plenty of brand financials are genuinely contested or hard to compare apples to apples. Bands keep it fair. Exact numbers show up once you finish.
Revenue (most recent full year): Under $1B, $1B-$5B, $5B-$25B, $25B-$75B, $75B-$200B, $200B+
Employees: Under 1,000, 1,000–10,000, 10,000–50,000, 50,000–150,000, 150,000–500,000, 500,000+
Match percentage
Every guess shows a match percentage: green counts full, yellow counts half, gray counts zero, out of 8 clues.
Two hints, one pick each
After guess 4, a pop-up offers three clues about the answer: its HQ city, its sub-category, or a pair of relevant keywords. Pick one. After guess 8, a second pop-up offers the two you passed on plus the brand’s signature product. Pick one more. Taking any hint tags your share grid with a 💡, so bragging rights stay honest.
